A BIT ABOUT ME

In a nutshell

 

I am a chronic challenge-seeker and lifelong learner obsessed with creating things and figuring out ways to make existing things better. I enjoy unpacking complicated problems by approaching each with an inquisitive spirit, creative mind, flexible attitude, and toolkit of frameworks. I find satisfaction in working collaboratively to identify areas for improvement, define approaches, and execute solutions. I use my keen awareness of self and others to craft communications and frame leadership messages into effective stories that grab audiences to spur engagement.

My professional career spans 20 years helping organizations reshape and adapt structurally, culturally, and operationally – either incrementally or through full-scale transformation – to meet shifts in technology and culture. I have crafted and implemented tailored, cross-functional, data-driven solutions across the full-lifecycle of projects (strategy and planning, business process optimization, technology implementation, and change management), and provided value-added results for public, private, government, and start-up organizations that maximized productivity, realized goals, and achieved missions in the most efficient way possible while achieving sustainable, meaningful results and change

I believe in and embrace a transformational‐leader model in both my professional and personal life. I believe results come from listening and giving priority attention to the needs of customers and those above, adjacent, and below in the organizational hierarchy. I believe in taking the time to do something right, the first time. I have an unapologetic desire to grow and improve both myself and those within my sphere of influence; therefore, I believe in blurring the edges of a role and dabbling in adjacent competencies to deepen understanding and enrich work. I believe it’s important for those who make content, products, and services to be aware of the power they have.

My diversions

I take ballet and read…a lot. In fact, I love to read and am skeptical of those who proudly declare that they don't. It is my opinion that everyone should read, frequently and with variety. If you asked for a recommendation, I'd likely say try one of the below or check out my GoodReads book lists.

By The Numbers
​What this means personally

Growing up in a military home, I’ve been in the business of having to remain flexible, tackle challenges, learn, create, and communicate for as long as I can remember. I’m an outgoing introvert…a fun-loving soul with a flair for creativity that enjoys social events but also needs alone time to recharge. When not working, you can find me spending time with my husband and 2 daughters as we take impromptu weekend trips, bike the greenway, attend events, or just hang out together at home. We also dress up every Halloween and every Star Wars (or Star Wars spin-off) release.
